Our stay at The Club Barbados October 15th - 22nd 2026

🌴☀️ Our Stay at The Club Barbados Resort & Spa – A Little Slice of Island Paradise! 🇧🇧

After spending the past week enjoying beautiful Barbados, I wanted to share our experience staying at The Club Barbados Resort & Spa, located on the gorgeous west coast of the island! 💙

This resort holds a very special place in our hearts. Scott and I were married here 27 years ago, and returning to celebrate our anniversary and renew our vows on the very same property made this trip even more meaningful. ❤️

🏝️ Our Accommodations

We stayed in a One Bedroom Garden View Suite, and I have to say, we were really pleased with the space!

The suite was incredibly spacious, well kept, and decorated with colourful island-inspired furnishings that gave it that authentic Caribbean feel. It was lovely having the extra room to spread out, relax, and make ourselves comfortable throughout our stay.

🍹 Dining & Drinks

The resort has three bars, but our favourite was definitely the beach bar! There is just something about enjoying a refreshing drink while looking out over the beautiful Caribbean Sea. 🌊

The Sunset Restaurant is the resort’s main dining venue, serving breakfast and lunch daily, along with dinner menus that change throughout the week.

Enid’s, the resort’s Caribbean-inspired restaurant, was unfortunately closed during our visit. However, we were still able to enjoy selections from its menu during our stay, which was a nice touch!

🌊 The Beach & Beautiful West Coast

One thing I think is important for future visitors to know is that while The Club Barbados sits right along the ocean, the sandy swimming beach isn’t directly in front of the resort.

The resort has an oceanfront setting, but if you’re looking to enjoy a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, you can walk a little farther down the coastline towards Sandy Lane Hotel.

We spent time exploring this stretch of beach, and it was absolutely beautiful! Soft sand, turquoise Caribbean water, and some of the most incredible sunsets. 🌅

If having a large sandy beach directly in front of your resort is a priority, this is definitely something to consider before booking.

🏊‍♀️ Pools & Water Sports

There are three freshwater swimming pools throughout the property, offering plenty of opportunities to cool off, relax, or enjoy the sunshine.

For those who enjoy being a little more active, the resort also offers a variety of non-motorized water sports, including:

🐠 Snorkelling

🛶 Kayaking

🏄 Paddleboarding

⛵ Hobie Cat sailing

These activities were available during our stay, weather and sea conditions permitting, and are a great way to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean waters.

🌺 A Little More About the Resort

The Club Barbados is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort for guests aged 16 and older, offering a more relaxed Caribbean vacation experience.

Located in St. James on the island’s west coast, the property has a lovely tropical setting with lush gardens, ocean views, and a laid-back atmosphere.

It’s also a smaller, more intimate resort compared with some of the large all-inclusive properties you’ll find throughout the Caribbean.

For travellers who enjoy a quieter atmosphere, relaxing by the pool, exploring the island, and watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand, this could be a wonderful option.

💙 My Personal Thoughts

As both a traveller and a travel advisor, I always enjoy experiencing resorts firsthand. It gives me a much better understanding of who a property would be a good fit for and, just as importantly, who it might not be right for.

The Club Barbados offers a relaxed, traditional Caribbean experience rather than the large, modern, activity-packed resort atmosphere some travellers prefer.

For us, the spacious accommodations, beautiful ocean views, beach bar, and the opportunity to return to a place with so many wonderful memories made this stay especially meaningful.

And of course, renewing our vows here 27 years after saying “I do” was the highlight of our trip. ❤️

🌴 Thinking about a Barbados getaway?

I’d love to help you explore whether The Club Barbados or another beautiful island resort would be the right fit for your next vacation!
